BIO

Béatrice Lefèvre is a French–Swedish artist whose work explores light, color and perception beyond the visible world.

Her artistic sensibility was shaped early on through encounters with the Russian painter Zoia Krukovskya Lagerkrans (1903–1999), whom she met during her childhood summers in Saltsjöbaden, Sweden. These formative moments deeply influenced her relationship to painting, light and emotional resonance.

She later studied Fine Arts and Art History in Aix-en-Provence, where she grew up, grounding her intuitive approach within a strong artistic and cultural foundation. Today, she lives and works between Italy and Switzerland, nourished by shifting landscapes, cultures and inner states of perception.

Working with painting and photography, Béatrice Lefèvre approaches image-making as a contemplative and intuitive practice. Her work seeks to reveal a subtle dimension of reality — capturing light and color as living forces, and offering painting as a space of transmission, presence and joy.

Through color, rhythm and gesture, her artworks invite the viewer into a quieter, more sensitive way of seeing — where the ordinary opens onto the extraordinary, and perception becomes a felt experience rather than a fixed image.

Her work has been exhibited internationally in solo and group exhibitions across Europe and the United States, and is held in private collections.
